Chief Eric Newman Joins Mt. Juliet Fire Department

Chief Eric Newman

Chief Eric Newman comes to the Mt. Juliet Fire Department from Vanderbilt LifeFlight working for the past 9 years there functioning as a Flight Paramedic, Manager, and Associate Director. Prior to this experience, he served as the Assistant Director and Director for EMS in Lauderdale County, Tennessee for 8 years. Newman has served in many other EMS capacities since 1998 as well, mainly in west Tennessee.

Newman holds a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from Liberty University, National Registry Paramedic, Critical Care – Paramedic, Flight Paramedic, IC.

Fire Chief Luffman and Deputy Chief Edwards look forward to working together as a department to grow the mission of the department and exceed expectations and opportunities. Please welcome Chief Newman to the team!
